On October 26, we embarked on the Viking Idi in Basel, Switzerland to cruise the Rhine River to Amsterdam. The Idi is a river ship, built in 2014, and resident to 200 passengers and a relatively small crew - 38, I think?
We had no time to see Basel, a city which is one mile from the 3-country "corner" of Switzerland, Germany and France. We had a quick lunch, and then set sail for Breisach. Overnight, we went through 4 locks, but did not travel far.
We expect to meet interesting people and see interesting places. More later.
